So Much Catching Up
OK, lots to cover. Let's get started.
Phil Pritchett
Why do drunk people feel the need to sing to the lead singer of a band at bar concerts? Seriously. I was at Bourbon Street bar last weekend to hear Phil Pritchett, who I hadn't seen in like 2 years, and this guy is standing up at the stage -- drunk off his ass -- singing loudly right at Phil. He was moving wherever Phil went and actually trying to sing into the mic. Get a life, dude. Or at least, sober up. It's not like it's Cowboy Mouth.
Lea is the coolest
Thanks for the shoutout Lea! Nick and Lea are two of my favorite people, but I never get to see them. We need to fix that.
Columbia, MO
I went to Columbia with the men's basketball team on Monday evening for the game against Mizzou Tuesday night. It was honestly one of the best trips I've ever been on with a team. Not only did we win (for the first time ever in Columbia) but the whole trip was very well organized. Even though we got fogged out of Texas and had to stay Tuesday night, our basketball operations folks found hotel rooms and got everything together quickly to make the change in plans run very smoothly. Matt told me at half that the two choices from the charter company were to stay another night in Columbia or fly to Lubbock for the night before coming back to College Station. I believe my exact response was, "Well, we're not going to Lubbock." I hate that place.
One last thing . . .
Have you seen the Woolite Dark commercials yet? Every time I turn channels, it seems like it is on. The slogan for their new product is: "Get your blacks blacker than black." REALLY?!?!? I mean, what middle-aged white guy came up with that???
